Just Say No to Legalizing Pot

      A lot of people today are saying that we should make pot legal. Legalizing marijuana is the biggest mistake our society could ever make.!  True, it reduces pain for terminally ill patients, but only then should it be administered within a hospital.  Just because people want something and commit crimes to get it doesn’t mean it should be legal. If we legalize dope on those grounds, then everyone will be using that excuse, and everyone will want to start smoking it. Only idiots want something as dangerous as marijuana legalized. Just say no.

Cheating in School is Okay!

Statistics from a 2000 study conducted recently by the American Schools Association indicate that one in four college students admit to have cheated several times on tests, examinations, or papers, during their college careers. It also shows that one in six admit to have cheated at least once this year.                                                                     These statistics, while alarming to many, show that cheating is considered okay by the majority of college students and should not be punishable.  After all, who is to blame for the recent rise in academic dishonesty? I say it is the professors who pile too much work on students, who make their tests impossible to pass, and who don't understand that sometimes students just don't have time to study or work on stupid projects which are wastes of time.                                                                                        If students are cheating more, don't blame them. They're just responding to professors' poor teaching skills, and to a system which discourages real learning. Instead, school administrators should wake up and look at what students have to go through to earn a degree. If they put themselves in students' shoes--go to school full time, work full time, try to keep a family together, try to have a social life, and not to mention eat, sleep and make life bearable--they would see that sometimes you've got to cut corners somewhere. If they do all this day in and day out for years on end, they might see where we student cheaters are coming from, and encourage professors to cut students some slack.       Either do that, or deal with rising numbers of student cheaters next year. If you're freaking out about student cheaters, remember that we don't care. As a whole, we think it's okay. So take this sentence to heart: If you don't want us to cheat, don't make us; change the way you dump the work on us, and we might change our views on cheating.
