Prepare SDS Gel Plates; cover gel
surface with a small amount of Laemmli buffer and
store for up to one week
Instructions:
1. Add 10.0g agarose to a 1L flask and increase volume to 500.0mL with
Laemmli’s buffer
2. Heat to boiling on a hot plate until the liquid is clear; use a stir bar to prevent
scorching
3. Cool flask until comfortable to hold
4. Set in a 50° C water bath until bubbles have risen to the top and can be removed
5. Comb is placed on one end of the casting tray
***Pours approximately 22 gels
