Mission – First, to teach students and teachers and teacher candidates about bioscience and working in bioscience, by setting up a mock biotechnology company to model some of the unique aspects of working in the industry compared to an academic setting. Second, to support the activities of the Biotechnology/Bioinformatics Discovery! project – infusing biotechnology activities throughout the high school curriculum to teach science content and process skills.

Company product is biotechnology kits for school classes.

Location Oklahoma City Community College , Main Building, 1C7.

Employee pool:  high school students, candidate (preservice) teachers, college work study students work in biotech company, learning about biotech and about working in science.

Teacher candidates also have opportunities to come to summer workshops in company with inservice teachers, and also have opportunities to bring kits out to schools and observe implementation – i.e. field experiences.
