Biography

Professor Smith has a been a life-long resident of the central plains of Oklahoma. She was raised admiring the beauty of Oklahoma’s orange-tinted sunsets and the wind that sweeps down the plains. An advocate of life-long learning, her bookcases bulge with books on a myriad of subjects ever present for inquiring minds. Alongside books, films are parked: silent, classic, current, documentaries.  Stand out documentary series include Through the Wormhole, How the Universe Works, How the Earth was Made, What the Ancients Knew, Engineering an Empire, and Rome: Empire Without Limit. For the ultimate film viewing experience, she recommends, Turner Classic Movies where all films are shown uncut, shown in the correct aspect ratio, original language, and commercial free!

Her B.A. was awarded to her by the University of Oklahoma, and her M.A. was awarded to her by the University of Central Oklahoma.
