Overview of Nursing

This course is designed for students who are considering nursing as a career choice and presents an introduction to nursing as a profession with emphasis on types of nursing programs, historical influences, professionalism, ethics, the nursing process, and current trends and issues affecting nursing. The course also offers information concerning the student’s degree plan, time/stress management, and study skills that would be helpful in progressing through an integrated nursing program.
