Integrated Curriculum Development I
Prerequisites: Earned at least a "C" in CD 2113, CD 2153
This course discusses how to create, evaluate, and select developmentally appropriate materials, equipment, and environments that support children's early learning. It provides the opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate an integrated curriculum that focuses on children's needs and interest and takes into account culturally valued content and children's home experiences. The course contains a laboratory component which must be completed at the campus Child Development Center and Laboratory School. Students must meet pre-laboratory requirementsIn this course, preschool and infant toddler early learning guidelines will be included.
