Prerequisites: ANES 1112 and ANES 1124; Co-requisites: ANES 1134; ANES 1155; and POLSC 1113.
This course focuses on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs used in the administration of anesthesia and analgesia. Topics covered include dosage calculation, routes of administration, drug interactions, and the various classes of anesthetic agents. Proper use and safe practice of delivery and storage and assisting anesthesia care providers in the preparation of medications will be introduced. Additionally, a review of the nervous system will be presented.
