OCCC encourages healthy living through the college’s Recreation and Fitness department. Recreation and Fitness provides non-credit wellness and fitness programs to students, staff, faculty and the community.  Enjoy variety, flexibility, and fun in the Group Exercise classes with over 15 classes to choose from including total body, theatrical dance, pilates, zumba, yoga and spin classes, to name a few! The classes are designed to provide a balanced workout regime by providing a mixture of cardio, strength and flex workouts.  The cardio and weight rooms are currently equipped with 8 cardio machines including treadmills, elliptical, stepper and stationary bikes. The fitness center also includes a Smith Machine and Power-Lift free weight stations, 10 strength-circuit machines and a full set of dumbbells and a functional training unit that is handicap accessible which includes ten attachments with 18 different exercise options. An air-conditioned three-court gymnasium is available for OCCC students, faculty, staff and the community to use during designed times. Sports leagues are offered throughout the year for youth. Week-long recreational camps are offered throughout the entire summer for children ages 6-12.

Open recreational times are available for students with current I.D. at no additional charge including use of the gymnasium and weight room. Community members including families of students may access facilities with the purchase of a day pass, punch card or membership.  Contact the Recreation office at (405) 682-7860.
