INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE

This course is a study of literary forms and genres, including short story, poetry, drama, and novels. Students will be introduced to literary terminology, critical theories, and a diversity of authors and literary styles. Through various assignments, written and/or oral, students will demonstrate their ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret literary forms.This course satisfies three credit hours of the General Education Humanities requirement for all Associate in Arts, Science, and Diversified Studies degrees.
