Guitarists Edgar Cruz & Ruben Romero
Oklahoman Edgar Cruz has established a career that includes touring, recording, and teaching. He is a National Guitar Fingerpicking Champion and has been named the Oklahoma Gazette's Best Local Performing Artist and Best Acoustic Guitarist for three years in a row.
Santa Fe native Ruben Romero has has distinguished himself as a Spanish guitarist, arranger, composer, recording artist, and teacher. Underlying his work are traces of the mesmerizing melodies and rhythms that have expressed the joys and sorrows of the gitano, soul of his gypsy ancestors.
Edgar Cruz and Ruben Romero, have combined their talents in Guitarras de Amor, an album of their favorite Latin romantic songs. Guitarras de Fuego continues this collaboration. Their concert at the Cultural Arts Series will feature selections from both albums.
