BARROCO ANDINO was founded by Jaime Soto León to fuse classical European culture and the folkloric expressions of Latin American cultures. The ten member group incorporates works by baroque composers, such as Bach, Handel Vivaldi, etc., into its repertoire and interprets them with South American folkloric instruments: zampoña, charango, tiple, quena, and palahüito, as well as guitar, acoustic bass, and mandolin.
