Division of Business and Information Technology

A variety of educational opportunities for certifications, an Associate in Science (A.S.) or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree are available for students interested in the business or information technology fields. Students may study programs in accounting and finance, administrative office technology, automotive management, business, computer-aided technology, computer science, general office support, legal office procedures, management, and medical office technology.

Various programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Educational opportunities for an Associate in Applied Science are also available in automotive technology and are accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

The OCCC Division of Business is the ONLY community college program in the Oklahoma City area with accredited programs in both Business (ACBSP) and Automotive (NATEF). Or choose an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree if you want to work immediately in your field upon graduation. Certificates of Mastery are also available and can be a logical achievement on the path to an A.A.S. There are many options, so select  Degree Programs to the left to explore more. Finally, there are opportunities for academic support with our Business and Accounting labs. Get involved with business clubs and get experiences that transform your life with internships and/or travel abroad programs.

The Cyber/Information Security Program at OCCC has been a leader in bringing information security education opportunities to our Oklahoma City constituents since the program started in 2003. OCCC was among the first six 2-year institutions to receive the designation as a Center for Information Assurance Education and Training (CAE2Y) for 2-Year Education in 2010 from the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

OCCC and our Cyber/Information Security Program have continued our commitment to fulfilling the ever growing need for trained and educated Cyber Defense professionals. As part of our mission to provide the best possible information security awareness and training to defend our vital information technology infrastructure the Division of Information Technology is proud to announce the formal creation of the Center for Cyber Defense Education (CCDE) .

The CCDE is housed in located on the 3rd floor of the Keith Leftwich Memorial Library .

Oklahoma City Community College is a recipient of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 federal grant, and monies obtained from this grant are used to fund equipment purchases and professional development opportunities for the following programs: Automotive and Cyber and Information Security.
