Prepare a 2% glucose solution by adding
2 grams of glucose to 100 milliliters of of warm water (40 Celsius).
Two grams of glucose is about 4 milliliters
by volume. Your scales are not accurate enough to measure 2 grams.
Pour the powdered glucose into a 10 mL graduated cylinder. Tap the
cylinder to allow the sugar to settle at about the 4 ml mark.
