Biotech Rodeo

OCCC BBDiscovery! Project

Competition available at your

site during weeks of May 11 or 18 or 25.

Teachers of biotech or bio II classes, bring the BBDiscovery Biotech Rodeo to your school! Student teams will compete in an archeological forensics activity.

Skills that will be assessed include:

1. answering questions about basic biotech concepts (completed before rodeo day)

2. setting up and interpreting results of electrophoresis runs

3. micropipetting skills

4. laboratory safety practices

5. integrating genetic concepts with gel pattern results

Reserve your date by emailing dacampbell@occc.edu by May 1. Participants should have signed photo release forms by rodeo date.
