- Make plans to attend your local science teachers' professional organization (OSTA) conference, to be held this year at UCO on November 7.
- NABT national conference is in Denver, November 11-14, 2009.
- NSTA has regional conferences in Minneapolis, Fort Lauderdale and Phoenix in the fall, and in Philadelphia March 18-21, 2010. Click here for details.

Toyota Tapestry Grant for Science Teachers - deadline this year January 18, 2010. Grants large and small.
- The Fund for Teachers enriches the personal and professional growth of teachers by recognizing and supporting them as they identify and pursue opportunities around the world that will have the greatest impact on their practice, the academic lives of their students, and their school communities. The Fund for Teachers provides grants directly to teachers, supporting their professional learning. Through the teachers' unique experiences, they ultimately will inspire students to learn.
Size of Grant - $5,000 for individuals, $10,000 for teams
