Instructions :  Using the Techne Thermal Cycler

Make sure voltage selector switch on back of machine is set to 115. Warning: keypad can be damaged by sharp objects including fingernails and pencils.
1. Load tubes in thermocycler. Maker sure dummy or sample tubes are in all 4 corners.
   
   
2. Turn power on (button is in the back) & warm up for 10 seconds.
   
   
3. If you see “programs” flashing, hit the Enter key (Right middle of keypad). If not, use the END arrow (top left of keypad) to get "programs" flashing.
   
   
4. At “new programs” press the down arrow till you get the program you want.
   
   
5. On the correct program (for example, ALU or MIT or PTC or Lambda) hit the Enter key.
   
   
6. Next, hit the Enter key at the flashing prompt “run program”.
   
   
7. Next, Hit Enter key for YES.

Teachers: Spills can cleaned with a cloth or with Q-tips and a solution of ½ water, ½ alcohol.
