Artist Information

Every Labor Day weekend, more than 30,000 people attend Arts Festival Oklahoma to view and purchase original artwork and craft pieces. Displays range from oils, acrylics, and watercolors to graphic creations, photography, pottery, sculpture, and crafts of all kinds. Booth displays are housed in block-long tents, surrounded by ongoing performing arts and concessions.

and original fibers, glass, or hand sculptured jewelry)

Application Form

Rules and Conditions

  1. Entry fee: $325 for a 10' x 10' space. Payment must accompany application.
  2. A separate check for a $15 nonrefundable jury fee must accompany each application.
  3. Only one 4' x 8' panel will be furnished at no charge, if requested. Sharing of panels or space between exhibitors will not be allowed. Artists may use their own displays.
  4. All applicants must send slides or photos (four or more) that illustrate current work and display. Include with application.
  5. All vendors must report sales at check out. Envelopes will be provided for check out purposes. Arts Festival Oklahoma will comply with all Oklahoma tax Commission regulations.
  6. If possible, sponsors of the show will honor requests for specific locations for returning artists/craftspeople. However, sponsors have final decision in assignment of booth space.
  7. Exhibitors are expected to set up and maintain their own exhibits, and exhibits must remain within the allotted space. No exceptions. (Booths are to be attended by adults only.)
  8. Exhibitors must check in upon arrival to receive panel location assignment prior to setting up. Exhibitors may set up after 8 a.m. on Friday. All exhibits must be in place by 3 p.m. Friday and remain until 4 p.m. Monday. Security is provided; however, exhibitors are responsible for the overnight security of their own work, and sponsors cannot be held liable for loss or damage to any artwork or personal items in the exhibit area.
  9. Applications will be accepted until May 15. Cancellations must be made prior to July 15 to qualify for a refund. No exceptions will be made.
  10. The show will be juried to provide balance. Confirmation letters will be mailed by June 15. Entry fees, slides or photos of applicants not accepted will be returned.
  11. Electricity will be provided--you may use the equivalent of 240 watts total for lighting. No radios, coffee pots, or electrical appliances. One 20" maximum box fan allowed.
  12. Framed paintings must be displayed on panels for judging; framed prints must be labeled as such. Display portfolios are acceptable, but works held in them will not be judged for awards or prizes.
  13. Only one prize per person is allowed. Artwork having won cash prizes at AFO in previous years must be marked "Not for Judging."
  14. No kits or manufactured items will be permitted. Lotteries or drawings for prizes will not be permitted.

    Objects that are inferior in quality, or different in nature from that selected by the jury will not be allowed to be exhibited without specific approval from the Festival Chairperson.
