Build Your Confidence in Public Speaking With the Right Tools From OCCC

Our faculty understand the importance of creating confident public speakers. That’s why at Oklahoma City Community College, we have developed a new, technology-incorporated speech lab for our students. Located in the Arts and Humanities Building, the speech lab offers students the opportunity to practice speeches and presentations after recording them. You can view your speech immediately in the lab or take it with you on a USB drive.

In addition, some student speeches are recorded in class on a laptop/camera system using a flash drive that students can take home with them. Practice speeches can also be recorded using the iPad2 and sent directly to your student email address. By viewing speech recordings, you can learn so much more – often acting as your own toughest critic.
