Student Support Services - Testing Procedures

Students who qualify for special testing arrangements are responsible to provide you with an Accommodation or Courtesy Services Form from the Advisor to Students with Disabilities. This form will show the specific testing needs the student qualifies to receive.
Generally, testing is done in the classroom or Test Center unless specified on the Accommodation Form.
Tests that are administered in our office will be picked up and returned to the Test Center the day the test is scheduled to be taken. To continue to protect the integrity of the test, tests not taken on the scheduled date will be returned to the Test Center.
Students will be notified by the office of Student Support Services that they are not to bring any materials into the testing area other than those allowed by the professor. (Please note any special test allowances on the test.) The Student Support Services office will notify you if books or notes are used during the test or if academic dishonesty is suspected.

Student's responsibilities:

To give their professors the Accommodation Forms from the Advisor to Students with Disabilities notifying them of the need for special testing arrangements.
To notify the Disability Accommodation Assistant (682-7520, Ext. 7770) 48 hours prior to taking an exam proctored by the Student Support Services office. Exams should be scheduled to ensure sufficient time for completion. At closing time, unfinished exams will have to be turned in.
Not to bring any materials into the testing area other than those allowed by the instructor. The Student Support Services office will notify the professor if books or notes are used during the test or academic dishonesty is suspected.
Once testing begins, students must stay in the testing area and complete their test or turn it in incomplete.
