Oklahoma City Community College has partnered with
SMARTHINKING to offer its students FREE 24/7 online tutoring
Students may view selected lecture and pre-lab videotapes, complete lab activities, work ahead, review, take lab tests and retests, catch up or complete special projects which are approved as a part of particular science courses offered on an IP or multiple paced basis. Access to computers for assigned lab activities and the Internet is available on a scheduled, space-available basis. Computers for assigned lab activities have priority over other computer use. Tutorial services are also available from assigned tutors who are scheduled to provide tutoring for specified courses.
To use the Science Center, a person must have a student identification card, must be currently enrolled in a class, must have successfully completed a lab safety exam which includes bloodborne pathogens, and must schedule specific lab activities a day or more in advance. Scheduling must be done in person and must be approved by a laboratory assistant or faculty member. No scheduling of appointments is done over the telephone.
Individuals using Science Center facilities and resources must follow the Oklahoma City Community College laboratory safety policies and procedures including procedures contained in the Bloodborne Pathogen Student Exposure Plan and the Student Conduct Code. Accommodations for students with disabilities are available.
