In an effort to meet the needs of students and to celebrate the beginning of the spring 2008 semester, OCCC is hosting Opening Day and staying open late for enrollment this weekend.
Starting on Friday, January 11, students will be able to register for classes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then on Saturday, January 12, the campus will be open for student enrollment from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Opening Day celebrations will take place from 1-4 p.m.
Opening Day is designed for new students to enjoy popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones as they explore the campus and find their classrooms. This is also and opportunity for students to meet faculty and staff.
When the spring semester begins January 14, OCCC will again offer the Success in College and Life course that helps incoming college students better prepare for their academic careers. The course was first offered in fall 2008, and has proven successful in acclimating new students to college life.
Those enrolling for the first time must complete an application for admission, which can be found in the Admissions Office, first floor of the Main Building, or online at www.occc.edu. Returning students may enroll in person or online.
Oklahoma City Community College is located at 7777 S. May Ave. For more information about enrollment or admission to the College, visit www.occc.edu or call 682-OCCC.
