A popular class is again being offered at OCCC. The increase in the number of chain drug stores across the United States has increased the demand for trained pharmacy technicians. As a response, OCCC is again offering Pharmacy Technician I: Basic Prescriptions & Dispensing, to offer participants a firm foundation to receive certification in this growing field.

The class, being taught by Jeff Yanchick, a licensed pharmacist and member of the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, will be held February 8 through April 16 on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm at the Keith Leftwich Memorial Library on the OCCC campus.

Prerequisites for the class include a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills. Cost for the course is $325.00 which includes all instruction and course materials.
