The Center for International Business at OCCC announces an internationally-known businessman is coming to the college as part of Global Excellence Lecture and Workshop Series.
Akio Miyabayashi, the CEO of Minolta Europe for twenty years will be presenting a workshop titled, "European and Asian Developments in the 21st century" on February 27, at 12:30 p.m. in the OCCC Theater. The cost of the lecture is covered by the Center for International Business and open to business leaders, students, faculty and staff.
"This lecture series will develop global links with business and community leaders within Oklahoma and throughout the world," said OCCC Division of Business Department Chair, Gary Tucker. "These relationships will provide benefits to Oklahoma City Community College students and business partners."
Miyabayashi is considered the outstanding Japanese businessman in Europe. His ability to understand different cultures of the world and utilize them for successful growth enabled Minolta to become a major player with 44 companies and subsidiaries and two factories throughout the continent.
