Mary Ann Moore, OCCC's Professor of Visual Art, will be recognized as a DaVinci Fellow at the DaVinci Institute Dinner March 28 at the Oklahoma History Center in the Chesapeake Event Center.
DaVinci Fellows are faculty members of Oklahoma's higher education institutions who have made an innovative and significant contribution to their academic discipline.
Professor Moore is being honored for her leadership in the creation of the Devon Energy Centennial Mosaic Mural. The two-year project transformed the 1,150-square-foot concrete wall at the west end of the Bricktown Canal into a spectacular mural celebrating the centennial of Oklahoma.
Professor Moore will be awarded a medallion and $1,000 check at the dinner and will also name a 2009 Martin-DaVinci Fellows' Scholar to be recognized at next year's dinner.
