In conjunction with National Week of the Young Child, the Child Development Center and Lab School on the campus of OCCC is holding a free children�s oral health fair on Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the college union.
Dental and health professionals will be on hand to offer free dental screenings and exams as well as nutrition tips and ways to stay healthy. There will also be games and prizes for the children.
The OCCC Child Development Center and Lab School was recently honored as one of the first child care programs in the country to achieve accreditation under the new National Association for the Education of Young Children criteria. The school received a 100 percent rating on relationships, health, community relations and leadership and management.
