Oklahoma City Community College is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Mark Davis as the new Vice President for Business and Finance. Davis took over the office Friday, June 1.
Davis brings over 20 years of experience in finance, budgeting, and business operations; almost all of it in senior positions in higher education.
He holds a Ph.D. in health care administration, a M.B.A. with a concentration in accounting, and a bachelor's degree in construction management. Dr. Davis is also a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified management accountant (CMA).
His most recent positions include Vice President for Finance and Administration at Shawnee State University (OH) and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
“I am confident that Mark Davis will be an excellent addition to the senior management at OCCC and to the community.” said Dr. Paul Sechrist, OCCC President.
Also last week, Governor Brad Henry appointed Mike Voorhees as a member of the Oklahoma City Community College Board of Regents, replacing Mr. Tom Hoskison whose term expired earlier this year.
Regent Voorhees is an alumnus of OCCC and is currently practicing law in south Oklahoma City.
