Employers from around the world and from right here in Oklahoma are converging on OCCC Wednesday, October 3 for the Fall 2007 OCCC Job Fair.
"Right now we have close to 75 companies and about 40 health services and hospitals signed up," says Judi McGee, coordinator for employment services. "This is the largest job fair of its kind in this area."
The fair features general employment opportunities not only for OCCC students, but community members are also invited to learn about opportunities at companies like McKesson, John Hancock Financial and even National Parks. Several Oklahoma companies are represented at this year's fair including; Tinker Air Force Base, Bank of Oklahoma and Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores.
"We will also have a separate area for health-related jobs," McGee said. "This includes local hospitals and national drug companies."
The general job fair begins at 10:00 a.m. in the college union and will end at 2:00 p.m. The health fair begins at noon and concludes at 6:00 p.m.
