New Director of Development Hired

Oklahoma City Community College today announces the hiring of Jennifer Harrison as Director of Development.

Harrison, an Oklahoma City native, has worked in nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma and Texas and has more than 12 years of fundraising and public relations experience.

"Ms. Harrison brings with her a myriad of experience in the areas of fundraising, marketing and special events," says Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, Pat Berryhill. "We are fortunate to have that experience with us as we continue to raise the awareness of the community about OCCC and to advance the college's mission."

Harrison currently serves on the Board of Directors, for the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. She served as director of development at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma prior to joining OCCC. Ms. Harrison will focus her efforts on raising funds for the Oklahoma City Community College Foundation.

"I am very happy to be here. Raising money for scholarships is one of the most important things we do," Harrison said. "I believe in giving every student an opportunity to go to college."

Harrison received her Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University and has studied at The Fund Raising School at the University Of Indiana School Of Philanthropy.
