Basic Crime Scene Investigation at OCCC

Following the popularity of recent television shows and an increase of technology in forensic science, Oklahoma City Community College debuts its Crime Scene Investigation Workshop.

On April 23 and 24, student detectives will be given a basic knowledge of crime scene investigation from renowned Oklahoma City Investigator Douglas Parker. Parker will teach things like protecting and photographing a crime scene, rolling fingerprints and several other techniques used in investigation.

"In offering this exciting CSI workshop, we hope to give those interested in a career in crime scene investigation and those who are just curious about how the science works, a more in-depth understanding of forensic science and how it affects our legal system," says John Claybon, Corporate Learning Consultant at OCCC. "Forensic science allows the legal system to seek justice and impose it indisputably."

The class is being held at the John Massey Center at 11919 S. I-44 Service Rd. For more information, please contact Corporate Learning at OCCC at 405-682-7562 or jclaybon@occc.edu. You may also visit the website www.occc.edu/corporatelearning .
