Oklahoma City Community College was recently awarded full accreditation of their business school by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) in Washington, DC.
Douglas G. Viehland, executive director of the ACBSP, spoke of the accomplishment of the accreditation. "Oklahoma City Community College has shown their commitment to teaching excellence by participating in the accreditation process, achieving accreditation, and then continuing the process of quality improvement. ACBSP is proud to assist the College in their commitment to quality business programs. We recognize their educational practices that contribute to the continuous improvement of business education."
"We are very pleased that Oklahoma City Community College is receiving the ACBSP full accreditation,” said Dr. Paul Sechrist, provost/vice president for academic affairs at Oklahoma City Community College. “The faculty and staff in the Division of Business worked extremely hard to prepare for this challenge to ensure our program ranks in the highest level of business schools."
For institutions that achieve accreditation for their business schools and programs, this attainment certifies that the teaching and learning processes within that institution meet the rigorous educational standards established by the ACBSP. The accreditation covers a ten-year period. ACBSP is the only business accrediting organization for both two year and four year institutions.
