picture of United Kingdom Flag     picture of Wales FlagGWYN L. WILLIAMS works as Arts and Music Producer for the BBC in Wales. He was recently elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music where he studied composition and performing as a postgraduate student. During this time he won the Federick Corder and John West prizes for composition, at the same time becoming a professor at the RAMīs Saturday morning school. As a trumpeter, he played with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Royal Ballet Orchestra, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orhcestra. Before joining the BBC in 1980, Gwyn Williams was appointed lecturer at the Department of Music of the University College of North Wales at Bangor. Recently his conducting engagements have specialized in choral concerts with the Liverpool Welsh Choral Union and Cantorion Menai as well as guest conducting in Britain and well as the United States. Currently Gwyn is visiting professor at Oklahoma City Community College.
