Salzburg Marionette Theater
Founded in 1913, the Salzburg Marionette Theater has woven its spell around the globe with entrancing performances of fairy tales, ballets and, above all, the great Mozart operas. These worldwide travelers have performed on six continents, with appearances over the past decade in Argentina, Japan, Taiwan, Lebanon, Greece, Italy, France, England and Germany. They made their United States debut in 1952 with sold-out runs of The Magic Flute in Boston and New York. Subsequent American visits have included appearances in Canada, Central and South America and Cuba, as well as major cities across the United States
