Visiting Scholars
Serguei Moskalonov, a Fulbright scholar in residence at Oklahoma City Community College during the spring 2002 semester, began to study economics in the late 1980s at a government-controlled university in the U.S.S.R. He received his undergraduate degree from the branch of Moscow State University in Ulyanovsk (now Ulyanovsk State University) in 1994 and prior to coming to the United States, was teaching at his alma mater as an assistant professor of economic theory. Ulyanovsk State University is located in the west central Russian city of Ulyanovsk (population 638,000.) The university has 8,300 students and 812 faculty members with 43 degree specialities. Although teaching is the main reason for his visit, Serguei hopes to learn more about American business and how it works during his stay.
