Marilyn Govich

Russian  flagMarilyn Govich is Coordinator of Vocal Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma where she was recently honored as a Hauptman Fellow for distinguished research/creative activity. She holds the degrees of B.M., B.M.E., M.M. and D.M.A. from the University of Oklahoma. In opera, Dr. Govich has performed the roles of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Constanza in Abduction from the Seraglio, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Alice in Falstaff, Madame Flora in The Medium, Miss Baggott in The Little Sweep, Lola in Gallantry and Ann Putnam in The Crucible. Professional musical Theater roles include Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Nancy in Oliver, Margot in The Desert Song and Domina in Forum. In her recent concerts, Marilyn introduces the compositions of newer Broadway composers. Whether dealing with lyrical or dramatic compositions, Marilyn presents a memorable performance that relates the intentions of the composer.
