Oklahoma Film Institute - 1999 Events Title

This year's Institute offered two classes:

Film Production Level I - May 14 - 18.

Cost $995

Similar to the 1998 Oklahoma Film Institute, participants learned and refined their skills while shooting a film on location. Participants learned how to operate a camera, how to record sound on location, and daytime and nighttime lighting techniques indoors and outdoors. These activities took place in the restful atmosphere of Lake Murray State Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma. The cost included 5 days and 4 nights in a shared cabin, May 14 - 17, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner, May 14 - 18.

Editing Techniques Level I - May 24 - 28

Cost $800

Participants were introduced and practiced editing. Footage transferred to video was edited in a PC computer lab using Adobe Premiere 5.0. Participants learned digital editing techniques, got hands on experience by editing footage filmed during Film Production Level I, and worked in teams under the supervision of experienced professionals. These activities took place at Oklahoma City Community College.
