University parallel programs are designed for people who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university after completing their associate degree. These programs permit students to complete most or all of the lower division requirements before transferring.
Two areas of emphasis are offered with an associate in science degree in business.
The general emphasis prepares a student to complete a bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, international business, management, marketing, etc. The management emphasis focuses more specifically on management aspects of the business world. Students interested in earning an Associate in Science degree in business should consult with a faculty member in their intended major before enrolling, in order to ensure that the courses the student selects meet the requirements of the intended transfer college or university.
ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE (A.A.S.)Technical-occupational programs are for people who intend to enter the workforce immediately after graduating. These programs provide students with the academic or technical job skills required for an entry-level position in the workforce.
