We also are building a new Arts Education Center. Quality of life issues are so important for the economic growth of Oklahoma City. We believe that having a facility that can train musicians and artists to really improve the quality of life. Also, the Arts Education facility is planned to have about a thousand seat auditorium which will be used not only by Oklahoma City Community College students but also the community of South Oklahoma City. The three primary programs that will be housed in the new Center for Arts Education will be our Music program, our Visual Arts program and our Film and Video program. That building will include also a student art gallery which has been a dream of our faculty and students for years to have a permanent space where we can display our student art and also be able to have shows of professional working artists as well. But the building will allow us to create new labs, new classrooms and faculty will also be housed in the new Center for Arts Education.
