WELCOME to the Advising and Career Services area. Hopefully, the area's name will give you some indication of the services we offer and how we can be helpful to you during your time as a student at OCCC.
Students who have a plan are more likely to be successful. Success means many things to many different people, however, we want to work with you to complete YOUR individual educational goal-whatever that is.
For many of our students, an associates-level degree or certificate is their goal or measure of success while at OCCC. Advising professionals in Advising and Career Services are trained to help you identify, clarify, or modify your goals and plans.
Other students are here to improve job skills, take courses for personal interest, or to determine if college is a good fit for them. Again, advising professionals in Advising and Career Services are here to help you.
We encourage you to use the services of our Career Specialist, Dr. Debra Vaughn and those of our Employment Services department. For most students today, their education is a path that leads to a career interest and ultimately gainful employment. Let us help you get there.
