INFORMATION ON APPLYING TO TAKE THE GED EXAM

Oklahoma City Community College (12/17/13)

Registration: You can schedule the electronic GED at www.GED.com  The initial testing fee for the complete GED will be $136.00. Retest fees will be $34.00 per section. The GED has 4 sections: Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.  If you miss the test date, the fee will be charged again when you reschedule.

You will need a government-issued, photo ID. If you are 16 or 17, you will need an additional form, called the RELEASE FORM FOR 16 AND 17 YEARS OLDS. It must be signed by an administrator from the school district in which you live and by a parent and will have to be approved at the OCCC Assessment Center prior to registering for the test. It informs the State that you are not enrolled in the public school system. The High School will notarize the form.

2014 GED

The new GED is on an entirely new scale and has a passing score of 150 on each test module.  Therefore, test-takers will need to reach a score of at least 150 on each module and a total score of 600 across the four-module battery in order to receive their GED® test credential.
